2013 FAB Fours Report & Photographs
This year the Federation Andaluza de Bolos Rinks competition was held at the Indalo bowling club on the 8th/9th/10th of February, and teams from the Indalo, Cabrera, Almeria and Mazarron took part. After the prelimary round on Friday 8th 16 teams were left to compete over the weekend. 4 teams were left to contest the the semi-finals on Sunday. One match saw Georgina Naylor, Paul Abel, Mark Naylor, Judy Abel (Cabrera) overcome the challenge of Tony Baker, Ruth Compton, Tony Millington, John Fitzgerald (Almeria) 19 shots to 7.
The other match was between two Indalo teams with the team of Debbie Colquhoun, Keith Turner, Jan Dando, John Colquhoun winning a close contest over Keith Harvey, Alan Henshaw, John Dedman, Mick Johnson with a score of 16 – 12.
Teams from Cabrera and Indalo contested the final on Sunday afternoon,the match was close until the 11th end then on the12th,13th,14th ends the Indalo team scored 9 shots to take a 6 shot lead which they held on to and won the final 19 – 13.
The F.A.B. Rinks winners for 2013 are Debbie Colquhoun,Keith Turner,Jan Dando,John Colquhoun.
