2014 Ladies Charity – Report by Eileen Phoenix
REPORT FOR ALL OUR MEMBERS ESPECIALLY THE LADIES.
Just to let you know What’s been happening since the Ladies Lunch,
On behalf of the Three Charities we chose, A big THANK YOU for all your Donations.
As most of you know we took a Total of 1,120 Euros and as we decided at the Ladies Lunch it should be Donated to 3 Charities I. E. ( Turre Food Bank 250 Euros – Mac`s 250 Euros and Handicapped Children 620 Euros ) The money for Mac`s
and the Food Bank Was given to them by Jackie from (Cabrera ).
Then on behalf of you all, Myself and one person from each of the other Clubs Went to visit the Handicapped Childrens
Facility in Oula -del -Rio to see what Equipment they Needed.
Their Facility is very Basic and they need a lot of Equipment which is very Expensive, So we decided on a piece of Equipment which needed Replacing ( as it was broken ) It`s a Tube for their Sensory Room it has Lights going up and down and the children are amazed by it, but the only way we could afford it was to join in with ( Vera Lions Charity ) who also had a Representative there called Sandy, So all going well Chris Ivan from Indalo will be organizing That on Our behalf.
It made us very sad to see all the Different Handicapps I. E. Autism – Cerebral Palsy and Down`s Syndrome, And personally I`m delighted we chose to Donate to them.
So well done Ladies and Gentlemen give yourselves a pat on the back, and Hopefully next Year we will do as well or
Maybe Even Better.
