2015 Letter to Federated members
Dear Federated Member,
The current situation with the 2015 licences is extremely complicated. You may or may not be aware but the Spanish Sports Council has introduced a “Unitary Fee” but the FEB has decreed that this will be implemented until January 2016 even though it will come into being in July 2015. The amount of the Unitary Fee has not yet been decided. Therefore, we have been advised by Mr. Donnelly (who is a member of the FEB Executive Committee) to charge the same amount this year as was charged last year and to continue to make available the Regional Fee of 18 Euros.
The figures at the moment for 2015 are:
Regional 18 euros
National 34 euros
Spanish Squad 43 euros
(You may notice that the last two amounts now include the extra 9 euros where we were given a discount last year. This will not be available for 2015)
A decision has been made to only collect the Regional amount of 18 Euros for anyone who wishes to play in our regional competitions and, once the full amount is known for the National Licence, then members will be able to decide whether to upgrade or not.
I am in receipt of all of the information for the 2015 Spanish Nationals which, as you know, requires a National Licence Fee and I shall be issuing that information to clubs very shortly. Mr. Donnelly advises that people should put in their teams for the Nationals as normal and once the amount of the National Licence/Unitary Fee is known (promised by the end of February) entrants will then be able to decide whether to continue with their entry for the Nationals or not. I will still be able to send the entry money and entrants names to the Nationals Committee but this will be BEFORE I collect the extra money for the upgrade from Regional to National licences so anyone who decides not to continue will, of course, be refunded their Nationals entry money.
I know this is complicated and it was even more complicated to try to put it down on paper. I will do my very best to keep everyone as informed as I can. If you have any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me directly and I will do my level best to answer.
